Why do automakers still keep on mounting cd changers instead of iPod / mpr3 player interfaces in their cars?
I mean even on bmw 7 series it is an option!!! Who needs 6 stupid, small-capacity-hard-to-insert IF-you-find-the-cd-changer audio cds when you can have a 120gb iPod for 250$ – plug it in and you’re all set…+takes less time & space…
The people who buy brand new cars are usually older people, who aren’t as technologically advanced as younger people are. That is why you can probably still get a cassette player in a Buick. BMW (and the others) don’t make used cars, so they don’t care what younger people want when they buy a used car.
