do not get what I paid for the car dealership?
I recently bought a new car with a Toyota dealer. I wanted some type of security for my car, I asked them if the car came with all types of basic anti-theft system (ie. Lord of broken glass, engine immobilizer system). Of course, they lied (car had an engine immobilizing system) and said that the car came with nothing. I asked them to give me a security system for the car and they charged me $ 500 for it. After all paper work is done and signed the call to serve their parties to schedule an appointment to have a security system installed. Can I find parts of the service Guy the security system they will not even install a proper system of Toyota. Aftermarket is a crappy system I 've never heard of. I told them I thought it would be an OEM Toyota security system like they had in the brochure, but they said no and said Theres no refunds or exchanges because I already signed the paper. What can I do? Is this fraud? False advertisement?
Many people think that if they get a new car it must have parts that are manufactured by the company. Most car manufacturers do not add on items they buy them from other companies. Have you checked around to see what the security system is rated by other equipment? Have you looked up on the Net? Have you spoken to any of the outfits that install security systems to see if it is? I would like to do homework before I started screaming about what the dealer sold you. You can also call other Toyota dealers to see if it is a standard item that installed on new cars. Do not tell them your story, just ask their opinion. Once you check around you then have the information to either be happy with what you've found or to be checked on the agreement of shit you get.
