What do the letters represent a radar detector?
I have a radar detector with the letters X, K, Ka, and V What does? I know that K and KA have something to do with the police, but they represent exactly? radar gun person, the other is the radio?
It has to do with the frequency band of radar. In the old days, they had the X-band, which was the order of about 10 GHz. But it had many problems resolution. Later came the K band, which is the microwave frequency range between 18 and 27 GHz. Ku refers to K in which lies just below the K-band and Ka refers to K above, which is the frequency band just above K. V band he considers another notch in the 40 to 75 GHz.
